Please don’t think I’m questioning your choice as I’m not. I just wanted to inform people generally of my choice as a professional motion designer and short form film maker who uses Ae and final cut 80% of the time, and your thread comes up top in google for those looking at AE after effects on an iMac pro. If I could prove to myself I was using C4D regularly ( every week ) then iMac pro all the way. But I’d be lying to myself so I could buy the pro.
